We recognize that many are suffering, and we want to support and serve our community. Payments for classes will be on a donation basis, with a suggested donation of $10 per class. These voluntary donations will be divided between the teacher of the class and the studio.

What do I need for class?
We recommend that, before the class start time, you set up the environment in your home with an open space and, if possible, a mat. Wall space would be good. If you do not have a free wall, you can use a locked door. Do not worry if you don’t have traditional props at home! If you have a chair, yoga belt, block, bolster or blanket, please have these available; we can suggest in-home alternatives.
What software do you need?
Yoga Circle online classes will be taught through Zoom, a free video conferencing software which you can obtain by going to the Zoom website. Click here to install and test the Zoom application.
How do I register for a class?
Register for class by clicking the appropriate button above. You do not need a Zoom login to join the class. Once you register for a class, you will receive an email with a link that is specific to the class. At least 15 minutes before class, click the link to join the class.
Why is it important to join the class 15 minutes before the start time?
Joining in advance will assure that you set up your device in the optimal way for the class. The time before class is a chance for the teacher to find out which props each student has; tips can also be given on the use of walls, doors, corners, kitchen counters, towels, couch cushions, etc.
What is the cost for online classes?
Students will have the option of donating to support the teacher of each class and the studio. We recommend a donation of $10 per class, but it is entirely up to you whether and how much to donate. If you prefer to donate with a check, please post to Yoga Circle and add teacher’s name in check memo. Existing class packages are not transferable as donations.
What should I expect in the beginners’ class?
Introductory classes typically including standing and seated postures, level appropriate and safe inversions, twists and reclining poses. Curriculum is methodical and practice may be modified to accommodate individual concerns.
Do I have to be fit to participate?
No. Classes are designed to aid fitness and enhance well-being. Teachers are trained to accommodate many levels of physical capacity.
What should I wear to class?
Please wear shorts or footless leggings/yoga pants. It is important for the instructor to be able to see your knees and elbows.
Long, baggy pants are not recommended. Bare feet and an empty stomach are essential. Refrain from eating 2 hours before class. Jewelry and perfumes to a minimum.
Are there changing rooms?
We have women’s and men’s changing areas; no lockers or showers.
Do I need to bring a mat?
Yoga Circle is a fully equipped studio; all the props/tools used during any class are provided at no additional cost. If you have your own mat/props and wish to use it/them, please feel free to do so.
Can I drop in for one class?
Absolutely. A single class costs $22.
Which class level is appropriate for me?
Introductory classes are designed to meet the needs of those who have never practiced yoga, or have been away from regular practice. Please feel welcome to attend any level appropriate Hatha yoga class.
If you are new to Iyengar yoga, and have recent experience with other traditions of yoga practice, we recommend the introductory or experienced beginner classes to become acquainted with the specific methodology of Iyengar yoga teaching and practice.
